Good Neighbor Psychology accepts select Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Western New York and Independent Health Plans. We do not accept Child Health Plus, Medicaid, or Medicare advantage plans. Out of Network Plans
If you have a different insurance plan and you would like to use insurance benefits, we can give you a copy of your bill that you may submit to your insurance company. The insurance company may reimburse a portion of your bill utilizing your out of network benefits. Keep in mind that insurance companies generally determine whether a provider is considered in network or out of network based on where the provider is located. So, although Good Neighbor Psychology treats patients all across Illinois and New York state, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield may consider us out of network if your plan is not based in the Western New York Region.
If you would like to use out of network benefits, it may be helpful to ask your insurance company the following questions about your coverage:
Does my plan cover mental health care by out of network providers?
How much will my plan cover if I see an out of network psychologist for a diagnostic evaluation or a 60 minute therapy session?
Do I have an out of network deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
*Please note, some insurance companies may not reimburse you at all for massed-trauma treatment, or may only provide partial reimbursement, because many insurance companies limit how many sessions they will pay for during a single week and/or during a single day.
Payment
Good Neighbor Psychology accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and HSA/FSA cards through our secure patient portal. We are not able to support the use of services such as PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. These services are not HIPPA compliant, meaning that they may provide less protection for your personal information.
Payment for intake evaluations and general psychotherapy sessions are due at the time of service. The massed-trauma treatment requires $309 deposit due at the time you book your treatment week. This deposit reserves 10 hours of Dr. Tirone’s time for the week of your treatment. When you attend treatment, this deposit will be applied to your balance, It is highly recommended that you clear your other obligations for the massed-trauma treatment week, as the deposit will not be refunded if you no-show treatment or cancel with less than 7 days notice. Exceptions will be considered with appropriate documentation of medical or mental health emergencies.
